Valencia CF Femenino have reached an agreement with Leyre Monente for her to become a blanquinegra for the next two seasons, until 30 June 2027.
Leyre, born in Logroño (La Rioja) on 15 February 2000, plays as a midfielder and joins from Deportivo Alavés (2023–25). She began playing football at Comilla CF (2005–14) and later signed for EDF Logroño (2014–15). In the summer of 2015, she joined Athletic Club, where she spent six seasons (2015–21) and eventually made the step up to the first team.
In addition, the player from La Rioja has been part of the youth teams of the national side. With Spain U16 she was crowned European Champion in 2015 in Reykjavík (Iceland); in 2017 she was European Runner-up in Minsk (Belarus); and won World Bronze in Amman (Jordan) with the U17s.
Monente is comfortable with both feet, a highly technical and skilful player. She stands out for her crosses into the box and her great discipline and work ethic.
Leyre Monente: “The sporting project and the trust they’ve placed in me gave me great motivation. This is a Club with history, ambition and a fanbase that lives football with a special kind of passion. Wearing the Valencia CF shirt is a source of pride and a responsibility that I embrace with full commitment. I’m ready to give it my all — I want to grow with the team.”
